Thinking Like A Scientist
We've started our next chapter in science! The students will be learning how scientists observe and use their senses to find out more about the world around them. The students had 6 mystery containers and by shaking and listening they had to infer what was inside each of them. After shaking and listening carefully, they took a risk. Then we opened the containers and looked inside! The marbles, rice, and tissue were the easiest to figure out. The paper clips, toothpicks and noodles were a little trickier. We had a great discussion about how they decided what was in each one. "Tissues are quiet." "I heard rolling so I knew it was the marbles." "I know what rice sounds like when you shake it because I have a plastic egg filled with rice." Lots of fun while learning!
