Writing

The past two weeks the students have enjoyed "free choice" writing during our writing time.  We've been reading books from one of my favorite authors - Patricia Polacco.  The students could continue and write their opinions about favorite books or they could write an informational text or a personal narrative.  After spring break, our writing unit will be poetry.  The students brought home their free choice writing today and their published piece from the their opinion writing will be coming home tomorrow.
